I know that there are two types of corn. One is when you bite it, water splashes out. The other is the chewy type, I don’t know the name of the chewy corn, but it usually come in black and yellow. Not talking about bumblebee here haha. If you know what I’m talking about…
I remember vividly that when 7 year old Fur was in China walking down the street in the urban city, there were often carts around the street with a big steamy pot. When the lady open up the lid, I can smell the scented team 2 blocks down. I would always ask my mom to buy one for me, sometimes one is just not enough.
After I moved here to America, there is no more of those carts. However, every so often I will come across a little window that sells corns, but it is just not the same authenticity as that steamy potted car. I longed for that scented corn, every time I cook the chewy corn, it reminds me of that childhood corn, but the same smell and taste can just not be recreated. As it remains in my memory.
If you know the name of the chewy corn, tell me the name of it. It’s kind of hard to find here in California.
